Other sets are made of metal. Here too, I found a craftsman to do the finished set, after I cut the model out of cardboard.

And others still are made of a combination of materials. Here's one that combines wood and plastic.

By the way, an art director once looked at my designs and referred to them as "irreducible minimums." I liked that. He's right; my simple forms capture the essence of the chess pieces.
